92 Lives Changed on Pentecost Sunday: Epic Church Joins “Baptize the World”

There are some Sundays you never forget.

This past Pentecost Sunday, something powerful happened at Epic Church. In partnership with churches literally around the world through Baptize.org and the “Baptize the World” movement, we watched person after person step into the water and publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ.

And it was unforgettable.

Why Pentecost Sunday Matters

Pentecost marks the moment in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit was poured out and the Church was born. Thousands were saved, lives were transformed, and people immediately responded through baptism.

So there was something incredibly meaningful about gathering on Pentecost Sunday — generations later — and watching that same Gospel continue to change lives.

“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” — Acts 2:38

This wasn’t just another church event. This was a movement.

92 Baptisms. 92 Stories. 92 Public Declarations of Faith.

This Sunday, we celebrated 92 baptisms at Epic Church.

Ninety-two people saying:

  • “Jesus changed my life.”

  • “My old life is behind me.”

  • “I’m not ashamed of the Gospel.”

  • “I belong to Him.”

Every person who stepped into the water carried a different story. Some had been running from God for years. Some had just recently encountered Him. Some came broken, searching, exhausted, or uncertain.

But every single baptism represented the same thing:death to the old life and resurrection into new life through Jesus Christ.

The Atmosphere Was Electric

There’s honestly no perfect way to describe what the room felt like.

The cheers. The tears. The worship.Families embracing.Friends praying together.People celebrating complete strangers because heaven was rejoicing too.

You could feel faith rising with every baptism.

This is why we do ministry. This is why the Church exists.

The Beauty of the Global Church

One of the most incredible parts of this Sunday was knowing we weren’t celebrating alone.

Churches across cities, states, and countries were all gathering under one mission: to fill the earth with the name of Jesus and give people the opportunity to take their next step in faith through baptism.

Different churches.Different backgrounds.Different cultures.One Savior.

The global Church came together to declare that Jesus is still changing lives today.

Baptism Is More Than a Moment

Baptism is public.It’s symbolic.It’s powerful.

It represents leaving the old life behind and walking forward in new life with Christ. It doesn’t mean someone becomes perfect overnight — it means they’ve surrendered their life to the One who is.

Romans 6:4 says:

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may live a new life.”

And that’s exactly what we witnessed.

New life.

To Everyone Who Took the Step

We are so proud of every single person who said yes to Jesus and yes to baptism this Sunday.

Your story matters.Your testimony matters. And this is only the beginning.

Pentecost Sunday reminded us of something powerful:God is still moving. The Church is still alive. And revival still happens one surrendered life at a time.
